The lack of original content is becoming more and more of a concern for everybody. Students, blog post authors, writers and creators from all over the globe face the ever-growing risk of plagiarism. While a collective mindset to have is people thinking that plagiarism only concerns students and teachers, that is far from the truth. Actually, everyone who deals with text, meaning the people who edit, write, mock-up. In general, everyone related to written content creation or editing in any way face the risk of not delivering an original paper.

Sometimes it happens accidentally, sometimes people are not objective regarding valuation with regards to their own content, meaning that they overlook a simple fact. Their content is not original. Whatever the case for it may be – does not matter. What matters, however, is you being proactive and using an online originality checker. An originality checker or a plagiarism checker is practically the same thing. Special software built to serve users in their quest of checking content for plagiarism and copy. Plagramme is the best free website for students to check document originality. Here is how it works.

STEP 1: Sign up for the originality checker Plagramme

To start using Plagramme, you need to sign up. There is a special button at the top of our webpage titled ‘sign up’. Either fill out the form to sign up in the ‘Good old way’, via email or use Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn to sign up. The entire process is quick and effortless. Your account will be up and running in probably around a minute.

STEP 2: Upload your documents

Once you are signed up, log in. Appearing on the main screen, you will have a few options available. If you, however, wish to start using and checking documents for originality, let’s waste no time and dive straight into it. Our text originality checker only accepts .doc and .docx file extensions. These are the most common file formats in MS Word. However, if your document exists in a different format, you should convert it. There is plenty of free format conversion software online. Convert other formats and upload them then.

STEP 3: Start the checking

Now checking is entirely free for all of our users. Press the button ‘Proceed’. This puts the text in the waiting queue. Depending on how busy our servers are at the given moment, the waiting in the queue could vary. Then our tool looks at your text and analyses it. The progress bar indicates how much percentage-wise; the check is complete. ‘Low priority check’ means that your document is checked after documents with high priority. You can easily speed the analysis up to receive the results faster.

STEP 4: Read the originality report generated by Plagramme, the multilingual originality checker

Viewing the report is necessary if you wish to understand what were the instances of plagiarism in your document. First, there are evaluations on the main screen: ‘Paraphrase’, ‘Improper citations’ and ‘Concentration’. These former two, if evaluated at higher than 0%, should be investigated. The latter –  ‘concentration’ is valued in stars with three being the maximum possible concentration and zero – minimum.

Next up, you can conduct a deep search to find even more detailed information or view the report. The report is a premium feature where you have to pay to see. However, only pay if you wish because any of our users can share us on social or designated media to get free funds in their accounts for future checks.

STEP 5: Decide what you are going to do next and know more

Once you have uploaded your article to the article originality checker and got the results, viewed the report as well as possibly even conducted a ‘deep search’, it’s time to react. If you are not satisfied with the results, use our online editing tool to mend and fix the text. However, in case of heavy plagiarism, it might be best to rewrite or restructure the document and paper in its entirety. Moreover, editors, lecturers and business people alike should act according to protocol and law once receiving a plagiarised version.
